Red Blood Cell Necklace
Red Blood Cell Necklace
Red blood cells, or erythrocytes, are the most common type of blood cell. They deliver oxygen (O2) to the body tissues through the circulatory system. Adult humans have roughly 20 to 30 trillion red blood cells at any given time, with each blood cell measuring about 6-8 micrometers in diameter.
The pendant is a single red blood cell that measures about 0.5 inches (1 cm) in diameter, which is over 1,600 times the actual size of a red blood cell. The pendant is made of polymer clay with a gloss finish on a 19 inch (48 cm) chain. The chain is available in two colors – silver or gold. Please select the color you would like before placing your order.
Each item is packaged in a Science Boutique gift bag.
All items are handmade, so no two are exactly alike.
